Discussing his conversation with Judith Rodnick at Atheneum; stating that Paz has the poems Strand gave him for the young Ameican Poets supplement of Plural and that Strand will write a 600 or 700 word introduction; asking when Simic, Jim Tate, Louise Gluck, and Jon Anderson were born; requesting that Simic send him xeroxes of the best poems from Darker in Mexico; expressing that he is having trouble with Andrade, so he might drop the poem or use The Dirty Hand which he translated and used in Reasons for Moving; describing how he is living, the high cost of food; and that the kids are learning Spanish.
