Laughlin's apartment in New York and had an audience of 700 people at the YMCA for $2 a head; describing how he is reading Gampopa's Jewel Ornament of Liberation; asking if Brunke could order a copy of Brutzer's Environmental Archeology and Roderick Nash's Wilderness and the American Mind; explaining that he is having dinner with Yampolsky and Hiroaki Sato, translator of Miyazawa Kenji.
