Summary
Informing McCormick that Ted Roethke called him yesterday and spoke for 25 minutes from Seattle saying that he is an "inmate" at Columbis Hospital in Seattle for metabolism and blood pressure, so McCormick is to act on his behalf; giving Roethke's usual complaint that none of his friends can get any copies of "Collected poems," that ten, twenty, or thirty thousand can be sold with some effort on McCormick's part; and that the jacket should be completely redesigned printing on the front a poem called "In the time of change" which appeared in The Atlantic a couple years ago and printing a new poem about Dylan Thomas on the back; saying that he could reach out to Roethke directly, but since he is unwell and that they both like him quite a bit, that he will want "to be kindly in whatever you say."
