Thanking him for his letter informing him of Sir George's death and telling him he had written his condolences to Lady Beaumont; adding "This melancholy event has been much the subject of conversation among all who knew him here each trying to recollect, or to listen to every detail that related to his extensive knowledge and acquirements in those arts he has been destined so much to advance and to honor;" asking to be remembered to Lady Beaumont and to the Bishop of London and Mrs. Howley.
