Summary
Thanking him for his offer to receive his source material for the Katherine Mansfield study, especially since Porter has her materials in her New York home; saying that her article for the Nation was written without help from any source and that she depended on her memory and a reading of Mansfield's collected stories; adding that she remembers the Orage Conversations, but has no copy of it and that she never saw "The life" by Mantz and Murry and needs to refresh her memory on Koteliansky; asking to see his article in Story; requesting that Belitt send the material by Express or Parcel Post and asks if she can have it for a month to six weeks, since it would be of help to her and if he can help her with information about Mansfield's stay at Gurdjieff; adding that she has been working on a biography for eight years and can't stop looking for more sources and information, so she needs to limit herself for this Mansfield project; discussing The Cult.
