Summary
Writing on behalf of her husband who is too ill to write; saying "My dear Husband - who alas poor soul, He is in such a reduced state of Mind to be incapable of writing or seeing any Letters &c &c yet at times master of his faculties - He had some of yr fine Barrel of Oysters rec'd as I guess from your kind orders & desired I would write His 'Thanks, Thanks with best wishes for yrself & good Ly B. enjoying Health & Happiness.' in w'ch I beg to join - I have a most severe Trial from the heavy Visitation on my Dr. L. - but trust to be supported by the Almighty not only on the present occasion but what may yet occur. My distress is greatly alleviated by the kind attention of our neighbour the Rev'd Mr. Hasted...whose persuasive conversation comforts the poor Invalid - He has from my incapacity & request written to Mr. Coutts & Mr. Taddy more particulars than I could touch on;" sending her respects to him and to Lady Beaumont.
