Notebook kept by James Ivory while editing the film Slaves of New York. Front flyleaf is stamped "Slaves of N.Y." and includes a note in James Ivory's hand "Claverack, July 1988." Includes continuity notes (12 pages, paper-clipped) laid in at end.
The screenplay Slaves of New York was written by Tama Janowitz based on her stories. The film was directed by James Ivory and produced by Ismail Merchant for Merchant Ivory Productions; it was released in New York on 17 March 1989.
