The screenplay for The Remains of the Day was written by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala based on the novel of the same title by Kazuo Ishiguro. The film was directed by James Ivory and produced by Ismail Merchant for Merchant Ivory Productions; it was released in the United States in October 1993.
Part of a collection of film director James Ivory's heavily annotated shooting scripts, editing notebooks, and small scripts.
