Summary
Saying he has now "gotten pretty well acquainted with the state of my sale, & the kindness of my friends"; thanking Beaumont for his help; saying that the sale of his drawings raised more money than he had expected: "The sum, as it stands in Christie's books, is £1625; to which 2 or 3 other little sums will be added"; adding that this means he will have about £100 a year, "and if I find I can clear that, it will be more than I shall want for my school, & I must think of giving the remainder to some other purpose"; thanking him again and sending his "best respects" to Lady Beaumont.
