Saying that he received a letter from his secretary concerning Hessel's Vuillard painting, stating that he remembers the picture was loaned to the French Government for the French Pavilion at the World's Fair in San Francisco; adding that he was requested by Hessel, who is now 83 and hard to get in touch with, to retrieve the painting.
