Summary
Expressing his pleasure at learning that Rosenberg has opened his new gallery in New York. Asks if it isn't the former Valentine Gallery, run by (F. Valentine) Dudensing. He hasn't heard from Rosenberg's brother Edmond for a long time. Edmond is in Nice with his daughter, who is seriously ill. Hessel's daughter was ill too, but has recovered. Hessel is moving. He asks if Rosenberg can find out what happened to Vuillard's large oval painting of the Grand Teddy tea room, which he had shipped by Lerondelle (a Parisian art shipper) to San Francisco.
