Summary
A collection of 275 autograph letters and 21 autograph manuscripts written to Sir George Howland Beaumont (1753-1827) and Lady Margaret Willes Beaumont (1758-1829) and their heirs of Coleorton Hall. This collection includes 106 autograph letters by Sir Uvedale Price, 49 autograph letters by William, Dorothy and Mary Wordsworth, 24 autograph letters by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, 34 autograph letters by Sir David Wilkie and 13 autograph letters by William Smith. The collection includes letters related to Sir George Beaumont's involvement in the creation of the National Gallery, autograph poems by Wordsworth and Coleridge, one autograph commonplace book and letters to the Beaumonts from other literary and artistic figures in the Beaumont circle.
