Requesting that he find her a painting by (Georgette) Agutte. Informing him as well that Madame Bernard has not answered her yet about Eva Gonzales's poodle (a painting she would like to buy from her) and asking for his help in this matter. On the back is a draft of a response to Durand from Rosenberg and drafts of notes to Madame Bernard (regarding the poodle painting) and someone named Francois. (on the back in Rosenberg's hand) 1. To Marguerite Durand telling her the names and addresses of galleries from which she can borrow paintings by Georgette Agutte and informing her that he will contact Madame Bernard about Eva Gonzales's painting of her poodle. 2. To a man named Francois informing him that he has to send Renoir's painting "La Causeuse," in which Francois is interested, to the USA and will let him know what happens. 3. To Madame Bernard, requesting that he lend Marguerite Durand Eva Gonzales's painting "le Caniche blanc" ("The White Poodle") for an important art exhibition that she is mounting. (Madame Bernard is perhaps the wife of the playwright, novelist, and lawyer Tristan Bernard).
