Plate 31 of a series of numbered mezzotints after 48 portraits by painter Godfrey Kneller of members of London's famous Kit-Cat Club. The published suite consisted of mezzotint title plate, dedication, and 48 portraits by Kneller, engraved by John Faber on 47 plates, and was issued by a member of the club, Jacob Tonson, in the 1730s.
