Summary
Saying that it was nice to talk to him on the phone and guessing that he is "about 44 years old - New England"; talking about what happened when he received the $1,000 telegrammed to him last October and the difficult situation he had this time getting the $1,000; saying what he did with the money; adding that he doesn't have the slightest idea how much longer the book with take, but that he thinks he should be finished by December or January and hopes to make a May publication date; stating that he is going to Chicago at the end of this month, so he will not write until he returns in October, where he can type 10-15 pages, or at least 250 pages a month, if all goes well; expressing that he is still in the Cuernavaca stage of the book "and all those kids have to reach young manhood and into Acapulco and final state of the novel."
