Summary
Providing information on E. Gertrude Thomson from information provided to her by Miss Thomson's sister, Nellie; saying "Miss Nellie Thomson writes that her sister was born in Glasgow on July 20, 1850 & died in London on February 2nd 1929. She cannot find the exact date of the Lewis Carroll miniature - the earliest mention of a date when it was exhibited is 1915. Miss Thomson has sent the only portraits she can find of her sister & I am forwarding them to you, in case you think it worth while to have a copy taken of any of them. The only detailed account that Miss Thomson can find is a short sketch in the 'Gentleman'. I am sending this by the same post & Miss Thomson will be very glad if you will kindly return the photographs & this paper to her when quite finished with - Possibly your client might like a copy of the article. I am sorry I cannot be of any more use in this matter - I feel that an opportunity has been missed."
