Summary
Saying that he has been unwell and unable to attend to anything but his health, but that in any case he does not think he could be of use to Knight in his research on Wordsworth; writing "I have no recollection of the Letters from Wordsworth of which you speak"; adding that the little he has to say about Wordsworth will be found in his own autobiography, when pubslished, or in a collection of his correspondence; asking Knight to excuse him for not saying more and adding "I am writing from my bed."
