Summary
Saying that Howard [Nemerov] has just left, thinking that they were leaving for England tomorrow rather than April 3rd where they will be celebrating the publication of [The fixer] in England; reminiscing about Bennington and how they miss it; adding that Howard felt the place lost morale in 1960 when the poker games stopped, then Feeley, Novak, Hyman, and others left; stating that Stanley and Beverly were the last to leave; thanking him for his telegram and wishing that he won an award[?] for his poetry rather than his translation; announcing that he has "Salmagundi" and will read it after England; stating that he has turned down every interview, including Paris Review and Look, and that Ann blocks the phone so that he cannot be reached; adding that he has been getting work done on a long story that he thinks will take at least another two months and then he will be traveling.
