Summary
Discussing John Ruskin's visit to her house; saying "I shan't sleep tonight, unless I write a few lines to you & ask if you think Mr. Ruskin was at all annoyed at seeing so many people. You know dear, I am always 'At home' on Thursdays, but imagined no one would come as really after June I consider them over, but of course directly anyone [illegible] or recognises Mr. Ruskin they rush at him. I do hope he was not displeased and I also hope I didn't do too much [illegible], but bye & bye it will be something for me to tell my darlings they have been kissed by such a man! Willie is quite in love! & says 'what a delight to listen to him! such English!!!! please dont smile at this letter! but I was really so nervous! I scarcely knew what I said or did but do write me one line to let me know Mr. Ruskin was not displeased & imagined we do not appreciate his coming to see us! I feel several inches taller in every way! & oh so [illegible]! I hope you found Mr. Severn better on your return. Thank him for his note. Now good night!;" asking her to extend their thanks to Mr. Ruskin "for honouring us so."
