Summary
Explaining that he had called her to wish her a Happy New Year and to thank her "...for the delightful time with you in your apartment the other day - How splendid that you are at least free from the burden of your sweet house - though of course it will be a pang to think of someone else enjoying the pleasure of living in it;" thanking her for the Hermès gloves; relating that he is "...working hard every day on the play but shall hope to speak to you or look in on your again one day before I go back to England about Jan. 21st. I do recommend a beautiful, subtle, and moving film 'Les Violons du Bal' showing at the Regency Cinema, Broadway and 72nd St at 2-4-6-8. We were both so moved by it."
