Summary
Thanking him for sending her one of his books ("I admired it so much when it came out but I did not think I should be the lucky possessor of a copy myself") and for his inscription in it; apologizing for not having written earlier: "I have been so busy in the usual frivolous way that people spend their time at this season in London I have not had a moment for writing or doing anything rational"; promising to send portraits of herself and her husband John Coleridge, as Knight had requested; inviting Knight and his family to come visit them at Heath's Court in Devon.
