Summary
Asking his correspondent to send him some books, to help in the preparation of the second volume of The Progress of Maritime Discovery; adding that he also needs writing paper; saying that he told the proprietor of the Naval Chronicle, Joyce Gold, that his correspondent would like his advertisement to appear on the wrapper: "He said he should charge three Guineas for it. If you therefore wish it to appear, pray send him Word."
