Summary
Thanking Knight for the proofs of his book on "Preference & Reciprocity" and for offering to put it at the disposal of the Tariff Committee; explaining, however, that "the work of this Association is entirely popular education, and for this what is wanted is not books or even pamphlets but very short leaflets which the working man can read on Sunday without fatiguing himself"; writing that he hopes Knight's views will gain "wide publicity, or as wide as scientific investigations ever do."
