Summary
Wishing him safe and successful travels; saying that Cheyne "...has just returned from four months hard travel, with incessant lecturing in a whole succession of Universities. He is far from strong as ordinary men count strength, but he has come back full of enthusiasm for the goodwill which he everywhere encountered: and he counts the physical fatigue as light compared with the value of new friendships & impressions. So I hope it may be with you."
