Summary
Accepting his invitation to stay with him on his way to St. Andrews; giving him the details of his itinerary; adding "Do not, however, grieve for my indisposition: you will be shocked at my robust appearance, & my rude health will dispel all the sympathy which gathers round a temporary invalid. Change of air & silence will no doubt relieve me of my cough, and send me back invigorated in health & with pleasant memories of your Scotch home;" adding, in a postscript, that he received his telegram and he will come by the Dundee boat.
