Summary
Concerning the union of St. Andrews and Dundee; saying "I do not think that there would be the smallest chance of a Bill brought in by a private M.P. to dissolve the union between St. A's & Dundee, passing into law - I shall read your letters in the D. Adv'r with much interest. It is quite clear that Dundee & St. Andrews ought to & must work together, for mutual advantage - It is a great pity that Lord Bute is so narrow in his views - He means to do what is right."
