Summary
Concerning Knight's upcoming publication of "Scotch Sermons" to which Caird has contributed; apologizing for the trouble he has caused but adding "...now that I have said my say as to giving the contents of the book the distinctive character of Sermons - of what could be preached, at least to a tolerably educated audience, I will leave the matter in your hands. My small share in the concern is not worth making any further fuss about, so you may insert or keep out what I sent you as think best."
