Concerning an enclosed newspaper notice from the Stratford-on-Avon Herald announcing that she is presently at work on a novel and providing a blank space in place of the name of the publisher; protesting that the omission of the publisher's name "suggests an inferior firm of publishers with whom it is not worth while publishing", and requesting that they write a letter to the editor of the newspaper "(who is a particularly arrogant little handbill printer)" and inform him "that no secret pertains to the fact that I am publishing with you, and that if he mentions the fact of my book being published at all he has no right to suppress the name of the publisher."
