Saying that he is sorry to trouble him, but their report on the Shaw Fellowship has gone missing; adding that he has searched his own papers for a draft and found nothing: "I write on the chance of the rough copy still surviving on your table. If it be, please have it copied out again, & I shall sign it"; mentioning that "[m]y Secretary has not yet heard from Glasgow as to an appointment."
