Apologizing that the Anderston Committee will not be considering MacFarlane; saying "Only one or two of the most discerning saw his excellence & even they were repelled by his manner...Meantime there are two who seem to have made a good impression on the congregation;" asking if he can offer any help on them; appearing to begin a paragraph about John Nichol; concluding that he's had a pleasant week and will return to Glasgow on Friday.
