Asking if she would be willing to contribute dialogue and lyrics for his play "The Happy Family;" asking if she saw it last year at the Prince of Wales Theatre and telling her he will be "...putting it on again this Christmas but I want some alterations in the 2nd Act with some new dialogue & lyrics. I wonder if you would care to try some of these & the dialogue? I have the complete synopsis but very little dialogue. If you would care to come down here & stay the night one day shortly I would discuss the whole proposition with you. I do not of course know what your terms would be, but my financial syndicate suggest, a comparatively small sum down for anything you may do & a further amount if and when we use it in the play. I am not sure whether you have done anything for the theatre before. If you preferred it I could meet you in town, but should be delighted to see you here if you can manage it. I do not know in what part of the world you live so am sending this to H & S to forward."
