Purchased by Pierpont Morgan from the London dealer Quaritch in July 1905 as part of a collection of Burney's correspondence and fragments of manuscripts, bound in three volumes. Disbound in 1925.
Summary
Accepting his and his wife's invitation to come stay with them on Tuesday night; writing that Alex is in Salisbury being ordained: "He may perhaps precede me -- He has always found your's another Home to him, & will go to it with Homely Confidence"; adding that if they are not at home when she arrives, perhaps Martin Burney or James Sansom (a cousin on their mother's side currently living with James's family) and his wife Eliza Margaret will welcome them.
