Summary
Saying that she and her husband have just arrived in England, "fatigued & harassed, but impatient to see & embrace all our Kin & Kind -- All of whom will forgive our first desire being to possess our Alex -- who, I am just told, is again under your hospitable roof"; mentioning that she has reserved a room at the hotel for Alex and he will come to them directly; sending her love to his wife Sarah Payne Burney and their children Sarah and Martin; writing that James should expect to find "my better half cruelly changed by all his misfortune! Alas! & quite lame still!"
