Summary
Writing that his doubts "have caused me unspeakable disturbance & surprise: but I have been patient, for I was sure that your reflexions, with a fair retrospection of the whole of my sisterly life, would do me justice in your honest heart" (this is possibly in reference to the divisions in the family caused by their father Charles Burney's will); adding that she hopes they meet very soon and that she will "drink tea at your house as soon my young Beau [her son Alex] arrives to give me le bras home."
