Writing of her return to England and how much she looks forward to seeing him; exclaiming "I am actually in good - dear old England! -- I siezed [sic] a pebble to kiss when I touched the shore, & I shall guard it all my life"; explaining that "the best & dearest of partners" (i.e. her husband Alexandre d'Arblay) could not accompany her, but she does have her son Alex with her; writing that she will spend the next day resting in Deal "for I have passed 3 nights with my cloaths on, & I must recruit in strength for supporting my approaching happiness."
