Written on stationery embossed with the seal of the Athenæum Club..
In 1889 Knight published "On the Links: Golfing Stories by Various Hands with Shakespeare on Golf by a Novice. Also two rhymes on Golf by Andrew Lang."

Summary
Saying he has been looking out for A[ndrew] Lang "...to talk to him about Shakespeare on Golf, but haven't yet dropped across him;" reminding him of the name of a lady who wished to join the Wordsworth Society but who had not received a notice about joining and paying her subscription; expressing his wish to see him next time he is in London; adding "If I can get my thoughts for a paper next year, I will, but doubt having a crop fit to put even a small sickle in."
