Summary
Concerning Knight's memoir of John Nichol; saying he has "...not had a moment to look up my old letters. To find any letters of 25 or 30 years ago in such a mass will not be easy if even possible but when I get back to London I will try to find time for a rummage. I can't have had many - perhaps not more than 20 all told - but am libel to have kept some. If I can make time to send you some reminiscences I will do that with the greatest pleasure - tho' in itself it is very sad work. I have tried to get the Old Mortality book which was kept by him. Unfortunately it can't be discovered among the books of the last secretary, Alfred Robinson of New College who died about a year ago. It w'd have been very interesting. I presume you won't publish for some little while yet."
