Notes
A collection of drawings and ephemera that Cornell assembled to document his friendship with French author-aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and his wife Consuelo in New York during the 1940s. Includes five pen drawings by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (including one that depicts the title character of his book The Little Prince), a small illustration by Marcel Duchamp, and keepsakes related to Cornell's friendship with the Saint-Exupérys, including fragments of candy wrappers, train tickets, and other mementoes and newspaper clippings related to Saint-Exupéry's published writings.
