Summary
Thanking Morgan for his "kind appreciation"; mentioning that he had spent the previous day examining Frédéric Masson's "superb Napoleonic Collection"; writing that tomorrow an English professor at the Sorbonne is going to be awarded the degree of Doctor of Letters, "the first scion of the Anglo-Saxon race to achieve that distinction," and that his thesis on "[David] Garrick & his French Friends" was in part based on research in Broadley's library in "Wonderful Wessex"; adding that he thinks his books on Napoleon might interest Morgan.
