Acquired as part of a large collection of letters addressed to William Angus Knight, Chair of Moral Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews and Wordsworth scholar. Items in the collection have been individually accessioned and cataloged.
On stationery engraved with the family crest.
The year of writing is not given, however she refers to his "patriotic" book he has just published. Professor Knight published "Pro Patria et Regina" in the autumn of 1901 in support of Queen Alexandria's Fund for Soldiers and Sailors.
