Summary
Informing him that "Young Sellars is going in for the Bursary Exams on Monday, but I fear with very little hope of success - He was most unfortunate in the Summer, having a very sharp attack of pleurisy from which he was laid up for weeks & unable to open a Book or do any work[.] This has been a great disappointment to all of us, as I had hoped he would have had a chance of another Bursary but it can't be helped as it is, & we must hope he will pull up & get well into his work now - I should like if it were possible to see how he gets out of the impending exams, if he is hopelessly in background or if [he] shows any sort of efficiency for the future."
