Summary
Thanking Hewlett for sending him his "spirited Zutphen ballad" [i.e. The ballad of Zutphen fight], praising the piece as an historical ballad, urging Hewlett, who had decided to publish the poem anonymously, to sign it in some way so that it might "be identified and reclaimed for future reconsideration or collection", and discussing Hewlett's planned volume of "Napoleon lyrics".
