Acquired as part of a large collection of letters addressed to William Angus Knight, Chair of Moral Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews and Wordsworth scholar. Items in the collection have been individually accessioned and cataloged.
Bradley gives the place of writing as "Deanery / Westminster."
The day and month of writing are drawn from the postmark. The year of writing is illegible, but appears to be either 1883 or 1893. Bradley was appointed Dean of Westminster in 1881, so it is unlikely to have been written earlier.
