This song was included, in a revised version, in the comic opera "Le Manoir enchantè", a collaboration by Jarry with writer Eugène Demolder and composer Claude Terrasse, written in 1904 and performed only once on January 10, 1905.
The manuscript is undated and the place of writing not given however the auction catalog shows the place of writing as Paris and the date as circa 1904.
