Summary
Thanking him for his letter and telling him he would be welcome "...whenever you have leisure to visit this solitude" but asking him to let him know in advance as he may be "in another part of our forest...hunting, which is a state of youth I am happy enough to preserve in old age..We shall have leisure then to talk of your present situation & future views; & I beg you to be assured that nothing which I can do to render your stay in this country useful & agreable to you shall be neglected;" asking to be remembered to his father; adding, in a postscript, that his wife has a "kinsman, the Marquis de Blangy, att Caen, to whom she writes about you. being a man of worth, this House a good house for you to be acquainted in."
