Delivering poems he has written; saying "I feel so wretched emotionally, spiritually, etc. I shan't have written the poems I wanted to within the next two months so I leave what I do have. I think they may be, at least many of them, bad. If, after looking at them, you still want to show them to anyone please feel free to tear out any you would rather not see in the folder. Sorry to have missed you tonight, but I had an intuition you wouldn't be home -- hence this note, ready in my pocket, to leave."
