Summary
Offering advice for his recuperation after surgery; saying "It is most important not to get up too soon. So stay in bed for a bit in the Heytsbury hermitage. Hospital life has a monastic order about it which I enjoy - the regular times for meals & cups of tea & dressing of wounds after operations. One is quite sorry to leave. Ah, but Heytsbury! I hope I get a chance in August to come down & see you there...I read "The General" on the telly & hope you'll tell your agent to claim a fee from "Rediffusion". It's very interesting, but it has much less wordi-ness about it than other war poets of the '14 war. You are such a masterly craftsman as well as so beautiful a poet." .
