Summary
Enclosing the abstract of his accounts for the last nine months (no longer with the letter); writing that they have spent about £40 more this year than they did last year; giving explanations for this, including the increase in prices in general and the cost of buying clothing for growing boys: "My Lords are already Men, specially Lord Peregrine has near outgrown me, & has had occasion, by his growing so fast, of more Cloathes then he would have otherwise done"; adding another cause: "that is, that we have had Concerts by turns, which have been very chargeable, for the great number of persons of quality that could not be denied admittance: But we have given over making them, & have brought them to a small number, whereas there were sometimes 30 People, either actors or hearers"; promising that they will try to cut back on unnecessary expenses in the future; mentioning that he had also bought the boys a fine suit each; telling the Duke that Lord Danby wrote to him last week and Lord Peregrine will write next week.
