Address panel with seal and postmark to "His Grace the Duke / of Leeds at his house / in Holborn / England / London." Holborn and London have been crossed through and replaced with "At Wimbleton."

The letter is double-dated May 6 / 17, 1707.
Louis Berard was hired by the Duke of Leeds to tutor his grandsons William Henry Osborne, Earl of Danby (1690-1711) and Peregrine Hyde Osborne, Viscount Dunblane (1691-1731). He provided weekly accounts of the education of the two boys in this collection of letters.

Informing him that they have just returned after a visit to the Hague where he "...brought my Dear Lords, that they should see that place to its best advantage (it being the time of its fair, which they call the kerkness)...Lord Peregrine is so entirely recovered of his fall that he will begin to morrow his exercises, which I thought fit to Intermitt hitherto." .
