Commenting on the delay in the release of "Venus Rising from the Sea" which he believes is "...caused by the buyers of the American serial rights;" asking if he and Marion would like to consult in the redecoration of his study and adding "I want my large flat desk, my writing chair, and my divan to snooze on;" discussing the weather they've had while on holiday and mentioning his enthusiasm for "Cornwall's scenery & climate. There are innumerable excursions & picnics to perform. And no railways west of Penzance. Dorothy is at the moment out shopping in Penzance."
